Daily Inspiration Boards

I came across Snippet and Ink (via Design Mom ) yesterday....what a brilliant way to "do something creative everyday."

This has inspired me to do a board....and to take it one step further, wouldn't it be cool to do a music mix to go with the board, hmm....now for a theme.

Do Something Creative Everyday

That is my new goal.
I will do something creative every day.

I just adore this motto from Paper Source .

Antigirl : Bleed Deeply

I notice myself getting more into collage work lately...
This morning I came across the work of Tiphanie Brooke (via Love Made Visible) and had to check out her website.
In addition to her prints she has great handmade books for sale.
Her use of color is and composition is lovely.

Light Poet

Ingo Maurer, one of my favorite designers of light objects, is having an exhibition at the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum entitled "Provoking Magic."

He approaches light and lighting objects in a completely unique way.
I just love the chandelier-like designs he did below.

Woven Imagery

I came across the lovely work of A Liason (via mocoloco) and liked it immediately. Created by daughter Katrin (photographer) and mother Anne (textile designer) team. Their pieces show "everyday life which we see but often overlook."

I just adore their skirts! The line also features accessories and home decor.

Paper Beauty

I am in awe of Richard Sweeney's paper sculptures. He truly explores and understands his medium. His primary methods include cutting, scoring and folding....that's IT! Beautiful...

I Heart COLOURlovers

I just discovered COLOURlovers, a fantastic site for finding, creating and sharing color palettes. A sort-of social networking site for color! Very innovative concept for artists, designers, etc...

Here are just a few of the recent top palettes. Yummy...

My favorite:

Polaroid Bliss

Ok, so Grant Hamilton has already been featured on sooo many other blogs...but I have to post a few of his pics too. They are gorgeous and inspiring!

Makes me want to go out and get an SX-70 immediately.

In regards to my last post....connecting music with visuals....what music do you hear when you see these pictures?

Cherry Coloured Funk

I often link music to pictures. Or think of great movie scenes (yet to be made) when I hear songs.

When I ran across these pretty photos yesterday, I immediately thought of old Cocteau Twins songs and 4AD artwork. Very lush and colorful.

Do check out olivelse . It is a beautiful blog with more delightful work...not just photos.

Jason Bruges Interactive

Gorgeous and intriguing work by Jason Bruges. Check out his portfolio and video clips to see the work in action.

Interactive wall at the Hotel Puerta America (deserves a separate post) in Spain. Lights react with people walking by.

Ooh Nya

This typeface first caught my eye a couple of years ago. Designed by Frank Rocholl , inspired by the Eames alu chair. Very different. Check out the 'g'. Lovin' it.
